Day 1 Beijing / Datong
You are met by our representitave at your hotel in Beijing and transferred to railway station for Datong which is the second largest city in Shanxi Province.

Day 2 Datong
Upon you arrive at Datong railway station in the morning, our local guide meet you and escort you to the hotel. After a rest, you will have a city tour to the Yungang Grottoes, a treasure house of ancient Chinese sculptures and Buddhist art, the Nine-Dragon Screen, the Huayan Temple and the Steam Lomotive Factory.

Day 3 Datong / Wutaishan
Today drive to Wutai Mountain and on the way we visit the 1500 years Hanging Temple and the Wooden Pagoda in Yingxian County.

Day 4 Wutai shan / Taiyuan
Today you will visit a cluster of temples at Mt. Wutai,. Mt. Wutai is the only China's mountain mentioned in Buddhist scriptures and the only mountain where both Chinese Buddhism and Tibetan Lamaism are practiced. Drive back to Taiyuan.

Day 5 Taiyuan / Pingyao
Visit the Jin Ancestral Temple which is dated back to Northern Wei Dynasty, the well preserved Qiao Family's Compound of typical middle Chinese culture where the top Chinese film director Zhang Yimou directed his famous film of "Raise the Red Lantern", then visit the Shuanglin Temple of more than 1500 years which is famous for its 2,502 exquisitely painted clay figurines and statues.

Day 6 Pingyao/Taiyuan/ Xian
In the morning enjoy a tour in the ancient Pingyao which was listed on the "World Heritage" by UNESCO in 1997, including Ming and Qing Street, Rishengchang Exchange Shop and Pingyao Ancient City Wall. Late afternoon you are transferred to railway station for the historical and cultural center of China – Xi'an.

Day 7 Xian
In the morning you will arrive in Xi'an and met by your local guide and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon you will have a city tour of Shaanxi Provincial Museum which is one of the most splendid in the country and the central symbolic Bell Tower.

Day 8 Xian
Today is a full day tour to the east of city. World famous grand Museum of Terra - cotta Warriors and Horses with more than 2000 years history and reputed as the 8th wonder of the world. In the afternoon visit the best - preserved City Wall (South Gate). Enjoy an optional Tang Dynasty Cultural show after dinner.

Day 9 Xian – Shanghai
In the morning visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. In the afternoon transferred to airport for Shanghai. Arrive in Shanghai and transferred to 4 star Ocean Hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.

In the morning your guide will join you for a visit to the Bund area where the commercial center was built in 1920's and where modern Shanghai economy develops, then to the Nanjing Road, which is the most popular pedestrian shopping place in Shanghai. In the afternoon visit the Yu Garden - one of the best Suzhou - style gardens in southern China, and then visit the grand Shanghai Museum where more than 120,000 priceless works of art are exhibited.
